- This area has steep slopes of loose rock. with a lot of digging
& screening into the hill.
- Bring your own tools.. shovel, screen, food water etc. NO
facilities
- No one under the age of 16
- Wear boots or tennis shoes..no open toed shoes
- Beware of poison oak

- This is a more rugged mine, but we like the pieces
we find better, and you can find a place in the shade to dig.
You can find very nice pieces of tourmaline, some quartz crystals.

- All the tools are provided - screens water, shovel
- Bring food & drinking water
- This is a flat parking area where they dump the mine tailings
in a pile, and set up workstations all around it. You get a bucket
of material and take it back to your station and screen it. Don't
go when it is hot.... you are standing out in the beating sun
all day. You can find tourmaline, kunzite, quartz crystals, smokey
quartz, aquamarine, morganite... etc.
