THE BENITOITE TRIP

APRIL & JUNE 2007

We actually made two trips to the Benitoite Mine, one in April and the other June 2nd.

The road was very rough (right) with two hours of twisty turns and lots of ruts.

Once there we had the opportunity to see and hunt on the world famous Benitoite Mine.

The only place in the world you can find crystals of Benitoite that are big enough to see!

A nice piece of Benitoite!

Benitoite is the California State Gemstone. All of us got some small pieces to take home,

but not large enough to cut. We all had a great time.
